Qiyunfeng National Forest Park

Qiyunfeng National Forest Park is in the central area of the joint section of golden tourism circle of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi province. It is a famous green fertile land and red land in China. It consists of three separate areas, covering 12,078 hectares. 4,623 hectares are for north Nanhua area, 2,220 hectares are for central Santaishan area and 5,235 hectares are for south Qiyunshan area.

It is with rich natural sceneries and its forest coverage rate is up to 92.4% which helped to preserve sound natural and ecological system and cultivate unique biological clusters. It is honored as a natural treasury of species resource and genetic genes. There are also abundant cultural sceneries as Wanwangcheng relics, Wenfeng tower, Red Army’s battle field, Tang’s dwellings, issuing place of the military regulations, and etc. Local climate is warm in winter and cool in summer. The average ion content is 35,800pcs/square centimeter, so it is also famous as “natural oxygen bar”.

Santaishan park in the area has been established as 3A tourism landscape and now is working on the establishment work of 4A tourism landscape. There are 125 different landscapes of 5 categories available in the three areas of the national forest park where becomes a comprehensive forest park with the functions of biodiversity protection, ecological tourism, leisure vacation, fitness, science popularization education, and etc.
